Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law), with an office in Roseland, said Jan. 15 that Member Rebecca Moll Freed joined its government and regulatory law group.
Moll Freed’s crossover practice spans multiple industries and is positioned at the intersection of law, government and business. An experienced compliance attorney, Moll Freed helps companies navigate the framework of pay-to-play laws, corporate political activity, procurement laws, diversity in government contracting, lobbying, trade associations, corporate ethics and gifts and entertainment.
Her clients include corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, trade associations, charitable organizations, social welfare organizations and political action committees.
“Rebecca is an outstanding addition to the firm and the government and regulatory law group,” Managing Member Marie L. Mathews said. “Her extensive compliance and regulatory experience will enhance the value we provide to clients across industries.”
Moll Freed will be working closely with Patrick O’Reilly and Eric Brophy in the government and regulatory law group.
Moll Freed has experience with pay-to-play and procurement laws including vendor codes of ethics, prequalification questionnaires, background qualification questionnaires, diversity in government contracting, set-asides for minority and women-owned businesses (MWBEs), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), and public-private partnerships (P3s). She has also represented clients in bid protest disputes before administrative agencies and the Appellate Division.
In the energy and utility space, Moll Freed has collaborated with utility companies, solar companies, and offshore wind companies on procurement matters and lobbying and political activity compliance. She has also represented clients before the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
Moll Freed previously worked at the law firms K&L Gates and Genova Burns LLC. She has been selected as ROI-NJ’s ROI Influencers: Women in Business 2025.
