Mandelbaum Barrett PC said Julia P. Belton has joined the firm as a partner in its corporate practice group.

Belton previously was a partner at Garfunkel Wild PC of Great Neck, N.Y., where she advised health care clients on corporate and regulatory matters and supported major transactions across the provider landscape.

At Mandelbaum Barrett, Belton advises businesses, professional practices, and health-care organizations on complex transactional, regulatory and strategic matters. She has experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance, with a specific focus on the health-care and professional services sectors. This includes regulatory matters, Medicare and Medicaid enrollment issues, corporate practice of medicine, state licensure, change of ownership and compliance with other laws and regulations.

Belton routinely advises on employment and equity ownership agreements for health-care practices and facilities, as well. Her healthcare clients include dentists, dental practice groups, management service organizations, home health agencies, licensed professionals, ABA (applied behavior analysis) therapy providers, behavioral health providers, hospital and health systems, physicians, and physician practice groups.

“Julia is recognized as a trusted adviser who enables businesses, health-care organizations, and professional practices to navigate complex transactions and regulatory matters while advancing their strategic goals,” said William Barrett, CEO and corporate attorney at Mandelbaum Barrett. “Her solutions-oriented approach will be a great asset to our team and to our valued clients.”

Before entering the legal profession, she worked as a strategy consultant to leading pharmaceutical companies and executive teams, giving her a business‑oriented perspective that informs her legal approach.

“Mandelbaum Barrett offers sizable resources along with a collaborative and client focused approach,” Belton said. “The corporate practice group is an extraordinary team of attorneys who seek practical and favorable solutions to our clients’ needs.”

Founded in 1930, Mandelbaum Barrett PC has offices in New Jersey, New York, Florida, Colorado and Connecticut.
