Ergonomic office solutions firm signs lease at Piscataway logistics center

Humanscale, a maker of ergonomic office solutions, has signed a lease for 155,000 square feet at a Piscataway logistics center currently under construction.

The developers, Rockefeller Group and PCCP LLC, are creating a 2.1 million-square-foot center on 228 acres, called the Rockefeller Group Logistics Center. The development will include five buildings, ranging in size from 200,000 to 725,000 square feet, Rockefeller said in a news release.

“We’re excited to welcome Humanscale, which is widely respected as a pioneer and innovator in its industry,” Brandi Hanback, executive vice president and head of industrial development nationally for Rockefeller, said in a prepared statement. “The world-class companies that have made the decision to bring their operations to Piscataway are proof that this project is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after distribution hubs in New Jersey and the entire Northeast.”

Best Buy became the first official tenant earlier this year.

A Cushman & Wakefield team of Jules Nissim, Stan Danzig and Marc Petrella is the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for the property. It represented Rockefeller and PCCP in the transaction, working with an in-house team led by Rockefeller’s Heath Abramsohn, vice president and regional director for New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

“Humanscale is a terrific addition to this project,” Abramsohn said in a statement. “We very much appreciate the support of local officials and the greater Piscataway community for fostering an environment that businesses like Humanscale and Best Buy want to be a part of.”

Mark Jones of Toronto-based Lennard Commercial Realty and James Scancarella of Cresa New Jersey represented Humanscale.
