A new ophthalmology group has officially launched in New Jersey, the group’s founding members Thursday.
Prism Vision Group is a Union-based ophthalmology administrative services care provider organization, they said. It was created by NJRetina, Dr. Steven Madreperla as well as NJRetina physicians and other regional ophthalmologists to support comprehensive eye care.
The new group will be led by Madreperla, an ophthalmologist and one of the founding partners of NJRetina.
Prism Vision Group will provide services to enhance back-office affiliated practices, including information technology integration services, practice administration, billing services, payer contract negotiations, revenue cycle optimization, benefits/human resource guidance, payroll processing services, compliance, and more.
“We are very excited about the new brand name which clearly reflects our legacy as well as vision of becoming America’s premiere, independent eye care organization,” Madreperla said. “Through the Prism Vision Group affiliation, practices can outsource their administrative business tasks and focus on spending more time with their patients.”
The group will serve 26 ophthalmology locations throughout the state and Pennsylvania, with 51 providers and 350 employees. Affiliated practices include: NJRetina, Matossian Eye Associates, Hudson Eye Physicians & Surgeons, Ridgewood Eye Associates, Bloomfield Eye Associates and Hackensack Eye Center.
“Our primary objective is to attract, affiliate and onboard professional independent eye care practices that align medically, culturally and economically with our goal of building and strengthening the practice environment,” Madreperla said.
