ZRG, a Rochelle Park-based executive search firm, has acquired the Toft Group, a California-based life science recruiting firm, it announced Thursday.
Toft, based in San Francisco, will operate as a ZRG company, supporting client needs for senior life science professionals and bolstering ZRG’s current industry practice.
The deal will add about $10 million in annual revenue to ZRG, it said in a news release, bringing annual anticipated revenue to more than $65 million in 2019.
“The Toft Group is the market leader for early-stage biotech and life science recruiting,” ZRG CEO Larry Hartmann said in a prepared statement. “They have built a stellar track record in bringing top talent to their clients, quickly.”
Robin Toft, the founder and chair of the eponymous firm, is joining ZRG and will remain in her current management role, Hartmann noted.
“Combining their sector expertise with the extensive work ZRG is already doing with our 12 life science consultants creates a strong global life science practice,” he said. “We are thrilled to add Robin to our executive team and welcome the entire Toft Group to the ZRG family.”
