Two new leases, two extensions signed at Edison shopping center

Two businesses have signed new leases and two more have extended theirs at an Edison shopping center, according to real estate firm Weiss Realty.

The deals at Colonial Village Shoppes and Office Park include:

  • Brooklyn Boys Pizza and Deli, restaurant, 1,630 square feet, lease extension;
  • C2 Education, tutoring service, 2,173 square feet, lease extension;
  • Thrive Behavioral Health, therapy counseling, 1,330 square feet, new lease;
  • Yajaira Salon & Spa, beauty business, 2,640 square feet, new lease.

“When looking at office and retail tenants’ priorities, ownership stability and accessibility continue to be driving factors for prospective tenants, which is why we believe Colonial Village stands out among other properties in this market,” Jaime M. Weiss, managing member of Colonial Village Associates, said in a prepared statement. “Colonial Village is surrounded by densely populated residential and commercial development, near JFK Medical Center, and offers tenants an ideal location and conveniences such as on-site shopping, restaurants and services they won’t find anywhere else.”

Matthew Weiss, executive vice president of the Moonachie-based Weiss Realty, serves as leasing and managing agent for the 70,000-square-foot center, which includes 20,000 square feet of retail space and 50,000 square feet of medical and professional offices across five buildings.
