Middlesex Water Co., based in Iselin, has agreed to sell its Delaware-based regulated wastewater utility business.
Middlesex agreed to sell its subsidiary Tidewater Environmental Services Inc. to Artesian Wastewater Management Inc. for $6.4 million, the company said in a news release.
The company will continue to own and operate its other Delaware-based businesses, Tidewater Utilities Inc. and White Marsh Environmental Systems Inc., both of which were acquired in 2019.
The sale of Tidewater Environmental Services, which serves approximately 3,600 retail wastewater customers in Sussex County, Delaware, is expected to close by year’s end, the company said.
