Mohegan Smoke Shop joins diverse tenants at Hackensack retail complex

Mohegan Smoke Shop LLC signed a long-term lease for 1,540 square feet of retail space at Summit Plaza, an 88,000-square-foot retail complex located at 370-380 W. Pleasantview Ave. in Hackensack, according to a Wednesday announcement from Alfred Sanzari Enterprises.

David Greenman of Silbert Realty & Management Co. represented Alfred Sanzari Enterprises in the transaction.

Anchored by a Stop & Shop supermarket, Summit Plaza features a diverse array of tenants, including Trinity Rehab, GNC, Harmon Face Values, Great Expressions Dental Centers, Labcorp, the UPS Store, Juicy Platters, metro by T-Mobile, Fresh as a Daisy Cleaners, Wize Guys Pizzeria and Noble Nails & Spa. The property offers a strategic location at the intersection of Route 17 and Interstate 80, with ample parking to ensure ease of access for customers visiting any of the property’s businesses.

Headquartered in Connecticut, Mohegan Smoke Shop currently has six locations in the tri-state area. With construction currently underway, Mohegan’s new location at Summit Plaza is slated to open the first quarter of 2022, marking the first step in the brand’s expanding presence in New Jersey.

“Summit Plaza’s strategic location in the heart of Bergen County continues to make it an attractive option for a diverse slate of retail tenants,” said Stephen Jennings, vice president of leasing & marketing at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “Highly visible from the intersection of two heavily traveled roads and endlessly adaptable, Summit Plaza proved to be exactly what Mohegan Cigar was looking for in their new location, and we look forward to their opening day.”

“Choosing our first New Jersey location was very difficult until we began working with Alfred Sanzari Enterprises,” said Mazen Almanha of Mohegan. “They worked with us in adapting the space to fit our business and have continued to be very attentive in making sure we have everything we need as we prepare to open to the public.”
