Veris opens leasing for Jersey City’s newest environmentally conscious community — Haus25

750-unit, sustainability-focused, state-of-the-art high-rise is now available

Leasing is now underway at Haus25, a new 750-unit luxury development in Jersey City, according to a Monday announcement from Veris Residential.

Located at 25 Christopher Columbus Drive in the Paulus Hook section, the 56-story tower rises 600 feet in height and offers an environmentally friendly design to meet the lifestyle preferences of residents.

Designed by globally recognized Elkus Manfredi Architects, the building features interiors by award-winning Fogarty Finger and outdoor space landscape architecture by Melillo Bauer Carman.

Haus25 is the first property to deliver for Veris Residential since the company rebranded in December 2021 to reflect the environmentally- and socially-conscious ethos that underpins its core corporate values, and is designed to achieve LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

“As the first multifamily property to launch leasing since our rebrand, Haus25 encapsulates our vision and ambitions for the future — to create immersive, responsible, holistically-inspired spaces that align with goals for health, wellness and sustainable living,” Mahbod Nia, CEO of Veris Residential, said.

Veris said the property is designed to be one of the most water-efficient luxury high-rises of its kind. The building has implemented SOURCE hydropanels — an advanced renewable technology that uses solar power to extract net-zero water from the air and distribute it to drinking fountains on the outdoor roof deck. Additionally, Haus25 has installed internal WaterSense labeled fixtures, including toilets and showerheads to optimize water flow, and outside at-curb bioretention swales to collect water that would otherwise become runoff, allowing it to percolate into the soil. Furthermore, Haus25 offers on-site single-stream recycling, as well as recycling for batteries and mercury lamps.

Veris also installed 24 electric vehicle charging stations in the building’s on-site parking garage and 375 bike parking spaces within the building.

Haus25 offers studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment layouts complete with kitchens with quartz countertops, full-height backsplashes and Energy Star stainless steel appliances. Select residences have private outdoor spaces with spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.
