The Chicken or the Egg coming to Renaissance Square in Marlton

The Chicken or the Egg, an all-day breakfast eatery, and Town Square, an adult day care center, are coming to the Shoppes at Renaissance Square in Marlton this fall, RD Management announced Tuesday.

This will be the second location for the Chicken or the Egg, or “Chegg,” as it’s known, with the first being in Beach Haven. This location, situated on an outparcel facing Route 70, will keep many original elements, including the 30-year-old menu, while offering a modern take.

The 9,449-square-foot restaurant (currently under construction) will feature a 3,014-square-foot terrace and 5,058-square-foot beer garden with an outdoor bar, firepits, a variety of seating options and occasional live entertainment.

RD Management Principal Richard Birdoff feels the restaurant will have impact.

“Known as one of Beach Haven’s most popular breakfast restaurants, Chegg is sure to bring a ton of excitement and traffic to Renaissance Square,” he said. “We are thrilled for the Marlton community to have a new dining option where they can enjoy a delicious breakfast with family and friends before joining us for a day of shopping and other community experiences.”

Town Square’s new 13,189-square-foot adult day care center aims to provide a safe and unique environment where seniors can spend the day while family members are at work or running errands. It will feature 1950s-themed activity rooms, called storefronts, created to put seniors at ease and spark memories of the past by utilizing vintage design elements and décor.

The Shoppes at Renaissance Square encompasses the recently completed Inwood at Renaissance Square, featuring 338 luxury residential units, as well as 127,631 square feet of retail, medical, office, and restaurant space. Tenants include Virtua Medical Group, Children of America, TD Bank, Evesham Mortgage, Dunkin’ Donuts and Keller Williams Real Estate.
