Leasing launches for new phase of 109 luxury rentals at Mint in downtown Rahway

Developers Fields Grade and the Slokker Group on Monday said leasing has officially launched for the second upscale rental building at the Mint, delivering 109 new luxury apartments and thoughtful amenities to downtown Rahway’s burgeoning arts, dining, shopping and nightlife scene.

The new six-story building features a collection of studios, one- and two-bedroom homes with spacious floorplans and stylish appointments. Boasting a commuter-friendly location at 84 Monroe St., the Mint is just steps from New Jersey Transit’s Rahway station, one of the few in the state with service on two train lines, allowing travelers to access both the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast routes.

The Marketing Directors, which executed the successful lease-up of the development’s first phase of 116 residences in 2020, is serving as the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for the newest residential offering at the Mint.

Homes are priced from $2,095 a month and are being offered with grand opening incentives that include up to two months free. Immediate occupancy is available.

“When we first introduced the Mint, we were excited to provide an elevated rental lifestyle in downtown Rahway, which had been growing in appeal thanks to its walkable setting and influx of new restaurants, shops and theaters enhancing its suburban surroundings,” Nils Berten, vice president USA of Slokker International, said. “The first phase immediately became the signature rental building in this transit-friendly neighborhood, and we’re delighted to build on that experience with a new collection of residences and amenities.”

The Mint’s newest phase provides a full suite of amenities to residents right outside their door. Social and recreational spaces include a game room with poker room and pingpong and foosball tables and multiple work-from-home areas including coworking spaces, conference room, work pods and a library.

A sixth floor Sky Lounge offers a bar with seating, large screen TVs and a pool table, all leading to an outdoor rooftop terrace with lounge chairs, barbecue stations and attention-grabbing New York City views.

In addition, residents have access to a number of shared amenities within the first building, including a lounge with a billiards table and work cubes, fully equipped fitness center with yoga room and FitnessOnDemand, and a pet spa. A second-floor landscaped deck features a swimming pool, barbecue and dining areas, and a fire pit with lounge seating. There’s also private garage parking with electric charging stations and supportive retail space.

“Providing residents with access to the full complement of amenity and social spaces in both buildings advances our goal of creating a truly immersive living experience where residents can enjoy an elevated sense of community and belonging,” Robert Caulfield, a Fields Grade principal, said. “We’re proud to bring that vision to life with the launch of our second phase.”

Designed by architect Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, with interiors collaboratively designed with Minno & Wasko and Factioned, the Mint offers a collection of spacious residences featuring plank flooring, 9-foot ceiling heights, windows with complimentary treatments, and in-home washer and dryer. Kitchens come equipped with soft-close cabinetry, quartz countertops and a stainless-steel appliance package and bathrooms feature full-height tiled walls in baths.

“These open and bright floorplans are a welcoming respite for residents returning home from work or the busy social scene in downtown Rahway,” Jacqueline Urgo, president of the Marketing Directors, said. “Designer finishes can be found throughout the homes, creating an upscale-but-comfortable living environment.”
