UFC FIT Model Club signs for 16,810 sq. ft. at Plaza at Woodbridge

UFC Fitness is bringing its FIT Model Club to the Plaza at Woodbridge. The new 16,810-square-foot gym will be designed to showcase the best of what UFC Fitness has to offer in terms of facilities, training programs and services, and will fill a vacancy created by the departure of Retro Fitness, according to a Monday announcement from Urban Edge Properties.

UFC FIT Model Clubs feature a wide variety of mixed martial arts training programs and classes, incorporating techniques from disciplines such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing and kickboxing, as well as group fitness classes like yoga, Pilates, Zumba and other functional fitness programs for all levels. Additionally, the club offers personal training and functional training areas for high-intensity interval training, circuit training and other performance-focused workouts. Youth programs will introduce kids to martial arts and promote physical fitness from a young age.

“Bringing a UFC FIT Club to this space delivers a significant upgrade in fitness offerings for the surrounding area,” Justin Lustig, vice president of leasing at Urban Edge Properties, said. “The Plaza at Woodbridge already enjoys high daily traffic, and this new use will complement our existing anchors, drawing new visitors from an even wider area.”

The Plaza at Woodbridge is located in the heart of Woodbridge on Route 1 across from Woodbridge Mall and about two miles from Menlo Park Mall. Anchored by Best Buy, Raymour & Flanigan and Bed Bath & Beyond, the property is one of the most visited open-air centers in the market.

UFC Fitness was represented by Joe Brendel and Glenn Buyer of Newmark and Bill Oughton of NeV.  Justin Lustig represented Urban Edge in-house.
