Metz Industrial Group of Bussel Realty brokers lease of 150,000 sq. ft. in Carteret

The Metz Industrial Group of Bussel Realty Corp. leased the entirety of 1200 Milik St. in Carteret, a 150,000-square-foot industrial building, to an undisclosed food purveyor.

Jordan Metz, senior vice president, of the Metz Industrial Group at BRC, represented the tenant. The landlord, CenterPoint Properties, was represented by KBC Advisors.

“After an exhaustive search within the port-proximate New Jersey region, our client selected 1200 Milik St. in Carteret to expand and service its growing business,” Metz said. “The company’s decision to establish a major warehouse here is a testament to the location and other advantages that Carteret affords.”

“Situated less than 15 miles to Port Newark/Elizabeth and boasting immediate access to the New Jersey Turnpike and Routes 1&9, 1200 Milik St. is strategically located for the shipping and logistics needs of modern industrial tenants, with the ability to draw from an abundant local labor pool. With space along the New Jersey Turnpike corridor in short supply, we are pleased to have helped our client secure this critical warehouse space for their operations,” Metz added.

The property is located near the New Jersey Turnpike and minutes to Route 1-9, the Goethals Bridge, Newark Liberty International Airport and Port Newark/Elizabeth. It features 5,142 square feet of offices, 25-foot ceilings, 13 tailboards, one drive-in door, wet sprinklers, heavy power and 93 surface parking spaces.
