Hornrock Properties celebrates 1st phase of Ivy and Green in Hackensack

Hackensack city leaders recently joined principals of development partners Hornrock Properties and GTIS Partners to formerly open Ivy and Green, a new luxury rental community that represents the latest example of the administration’s vision to reimagine the downtown with new mixed-use developments.

Hackensack Mayor John Labrosse and Deputy Mayor Kathleen Canestrino led a special ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the completion of Ivy and Green’s first phase of 221 rental residences and next-level indoor and outdoor amenities.

Located at 1 Park Ave., Ivy and Green has transformed a former city-owned parking lot within an Opportunity Zone into a residential building that is helping to meet the strong demand for new contemporary residences and many amenities within the Hackensack market.

Construction has started on a second building that will deliver 168 units in late 2023.

“Going back to 2013, this was an underutilized parking lot in an area that was about to undergo tremendous growth,” Labrosse said. “Ten years later and we are now standing in a beautiful new building in an outstanding location. Hornrock Properties and their partners have created a beautiful development that will be enjoyed by residents for years to come.”

Maurice Hornblass, a principal of Hornrock Properties, stated: “We’ve long believed in the potential of Hackensack as a thriving destination and are thrilled to introduce Ivy and Green, which is the next step in the evolution of the city’s flourishing downtown. We would like thank Mayor Labrosse and Deputy Mayor Canestrino for their vision and support in bringing this development to life, and we look forward to continuing to contribute to the growth of this great city.”

Amit Rind, managing director at GTIS Partners, noted: “I think we have the best building in the city and will deliver our residents a fantastic living experience. We’re thrilled to be in Hackensack, not just building apartments, but building homes and playing a role in the ongoing development of this community.”

Ivy and Green features a collection of generously sized studios, one- and two-bedroom residences and an impressive list of resort-style amenities within a distinctive six-story building.

Stylish homes offer 9-foot ceiling heights, oversized windows with complimentary treatments and in-home washer and dryer. Designer kitchens boast stainless steel appliances, gas range and French door refrigerator, and quartz countertop and backsplash. Baths are adorned with tiled walls and illuminated vanity mirrors. Select homes offer balconies or terraces to extend the living space outdoors.

Monthly rents start from the $2,400s, with Grand Opening incentives that include up to two months free. The Marketing Directors is the exclusive marketing and leasing agent.
