Asbury Park to host 1st annual ‘Made (and sold) in Asbury Park’ in February

The city of Asbury Park announced Friday that it will host the first annual “Made (and sold) in Asbury Park” on Feb. 3, 2024, at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel. The event, created by the city’s Urban Enterprise Zone program, will showcase the city’s UEZ businesses and highlight all that Asbury Park has to offer potential businesses and consumers.

Join the city as its local businesses showcase their best products and unique handmade goods.

The event will be held at the historic Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel. There will also be live music throughout the day as attendees get a chance to support Asbury Park’s local businesses.

“This is a first-of-its-kind event that will allow us to shine a light on what makes Asbury Park such an amazing place: its people and their creativity,” Amy Quinn, deputy mayor of Asbury Park, said. “Our first ‘Made (and sold) in Asbury Park’ will be one to remember. This is going to be the premier Shore event of the winter and people will not want to miss it.

“Made (and sold) in Asbury Park” will allow the city’s UEZ businesses to tell their story: what they make, what they sell and why they chose Asbury Park as their business home. It will highlight everything that Asbury Park has to offer, spurring heightened awareness of the numerous products that are made in the community.”

Businesses looking to participate in the event should reach out to JulieAnn Murray, UEZ Business Development Administrator for Asbury Park, at julieann.murray@cityofasburypark.com. Available spots will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and the city anticipates space will fill up quickly.
