Retail veterans from JLL, Munley and Behr, join CBRE Capital Markets

CBRE on Monday announced that industry veterans Chris Munley and Colin Behr joined CBRE Capital Markets from JLL, to focus on sales of open-air, multitenant retail assets throughout the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.

Both Munley and Behr most recently served as senior managing directors of JLL’s Capital Markets team.

Munley, joining as an executive vice president, brings more than 14 years of industry experience with a focus on multitenant shopping center sales transactions throughout the mid-Atlantic and Northeast U.S. Throughout his career, he has closed more than $6.4 billion in retail transactions.

Behr, joining as a senior vice president, has more than 11 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and also specializes in multitenant shopping center sales transactions. He has completed more than $4.5 billion in retail transactions.

“Chris and Colin bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our Retail Capital Markets team,” Chris Decouflé, leader of Retail Capital Markets for CBRE, said. “Their extensive track records and deep knowledge of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets will be invaluable as we continue to serve our institutional retail clients.”

“CBRE is pleased to welcome Chris and Colin to our team. They bring a high caliber of Retail Capital Markets knowledge and exceptional outcomes to their clients. Their work ethic and passion for retail real estate is evident in every interaction, and I look forward to working alongside Chris and Colin as we grow our business,” Rija Beares, Greater Philadelphia market leader for CBRE, said.

Munley and Behr will join CBRE’s National Retail Partners and work closely with existing partners Ryan Sciullo and Casey Smith in Washington, D.C., Jeff Dunne and David Gavin in Metro New York and Nat Heald in Boston to optimize coverage of the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.
