Atlas launches preleasing at 24-story building in Jersey City’s Bergen-Lafayette

Preleasing is underway at Atlas, a collection of 169 rental residences, contemporary amenities and spectacular views in Jersey City’s Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood.

Atlas represents a collaboration between Alpine Residential and Fields Grade, known for their commitment to enriching Bergen-Lafayette with new residential buildings and supportive street-level retail space. The building’s leasing program and management is handled by Alpine’s affiliated management company, South Oxford Management.

“Atlas embodies our dedication to enhancing the urban lifestyle in Bergen-Lafayette,” William Rosato, managing partner of Alpine Residential, said. “With its well-appointed residences, thoughtful amenities and a commitment to the local arts scene, Atlas promises to be a vibrant addition to this dynamic neighborhood, offering residents a unique and elevated living experience.”

Situated at 270 Johnston Ave., the 24-story building — the tallest in the neighborhood — offers well-appointed studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences.

Many homes feature private balconies that extend the living spaces outdoors while maximizing uninterrupted views of the Statue of Liberty, Liberty Harbor, Liberty State Park, and the Manhattan skyline.

Monthly rents start at $2,729, including limited-time grand opening incentives of up to two months free on select homes. Initial occupancy is scheduled for January 2024.

Designed by MHS Architecture and featuring interiors by GRT Architects, the distinct property draws inspiration from the neighborhood’s post-industrial roots while engaging with the Jersey City waterfront and the New York City skyline.

Residents at Atlas will enjoy a host of amenities, including 24-hour concierge service, a state-of-the-art fitness center equipped with CrossFit equipment, and coworking spaces with private offices. On the 24th floor, with spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop, residents have access to a communal kitchen, game room and a dramatic Sky Lounge. An outdoor landscaped roof deck features grilling stations, al fresco dining areas and a plunge pool. The pet-friendly, smoke-free property also provides on-site parking, bike storage and TULU, an on-demand smart rental store for high-quality household and lifestyle products. Ground-level retail space will house a bagel café.
