Citizen Bayonne now 70% leased; attracts renters seeking value, convenience and luxury

Citizen Bayonne, the luxury rental community on the Bayonne waterfront, has leased more than 70% of its 252 available residences, community developer Accurate announced Thursday.

The new milestone underscores the important role Citizen Bayonne plays as a value and lifestyle alternative to New York City and neighboring Jersey City, according to Accurate.

Since opening for occupancy in June, the community has been popular with renters looking for a well-balanced lifestyle and brand-new, upscale apartments at an attractive price point. Its location at 155 Goldsborough Drive places renters in a premium waterfront setting with views of New York Harbor and the Bayonne Golf Club.

Citizen Bayonne residents are within walking distance of a growing list of shops and markets on Bayonne’s waterfront, a planned commuter ferry terminal with service to Manhattan and Bayonne’s 34th Street Light Rail station.

Renters can choose from a wide variety of studio, one- and two-bedroom rental residences in the 252-unit building.

Monthly rental rates start from the $2,300s for one-bedroom residences and the $3,300s for two-bedroom residences, according to Accurate, net effective, inclusive of special grand opening incentives of one month free on a 13-month lease or two months free on a 26-month lease.

“We are proud that so many residents are choosing to live at Citizen Bayonne,” Jack Klugmann, CEO and president of Accurate, said. “The location is well-connected to Manhattan and Jersey City and offers an appealing waterfront setting. We expect the strong leasing pace to continue and we look forward to welcoming more residents to the community.”

Citizen Bayonne is a modern rental community on the New Jersey Gold Coast that will ultimately consist of two five-story residential buildings.

Devereaux & Associates designed Citizen Bayonne, with interiors by HH Designers and landscape design by Melillo Bauer Carman.

Residences in the community are bright and spacious, with features such as 9-foot ceilings, luxury plank flooring throughout, complimentary window treatments and in-home washer and dryer by GE. Gourmet kitchens offer full-sized stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, full-height tile backsplashes, espresso soft close cabinetry, four-burner gas ranges, custom soft-close vanities and chrome Moen faucets.

Accurate also integrated an array of amenities and services into the design of Citizen Bayonne, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, resident lounge, coworking space, smart package room, covered parking with electric car charging stations and bicycle storage. An outdoor landscaped courtyard features dining areas, barbecue stations, lounge seating and firepits. The community runs a complimentary resident shuttle to the Grove Street PATH station and the 34th Street Light Rail station, where commuter bus service is also available.

Residents of Citizen Bayonne are well-connected to Jersey City via the complimentary resident shuttle, and two Light Rail stations, which whisk commuters to the Exchange Place PATH station in about 15 minutes. The planned ferry terminal with service to Manhattan is close to Citizen Bayonne and will be operated by SeaStreak. Residents are also moments from the entrance of the New Jersey Turnpike, Route 78 and the Holland Tunnel.
