IT staffing and tech solutions firm Matlen Silver names its first female CEO

Somerville-based Matlen Silver on Thursday said Michele Beilman has been named its CEO, effective immediately. In this role, Beilman, who served successfully as the firm’s chief operating officer since 2022, will continue the growth trajectory of the information technology staffing and tech solutions firm’s national footprint. While steering the strategic direction for the organization, which includes offices throughout the U.S., Beilman will expand the internal team of staffing and recruiting experts that currently serves technical consultants and multiple clients.

Beilman is a longstanding executive with Matlen Silver, rising through the ranks from recruiter to senior vice president for regional sales and operations and eventually managing the daily operations and administration as COO. With her strong sales background and penchant for building strategic relationships, she will continue to grow the Matlen Silver portfolio, cementing Matlen Silver’s leadership position in the industry.

During Beilman’s tenure as COO, Matlen Silver has continued to close new business, while simultaneously launching numerous culture-driven programs for employee engagement and recognition. A staunch supporter of community-driven staffing endeavors, Beilman oversaw the introduction of the Matlen Silver Valiant Workforce program, targeting the veteran talent pool.

“It’s a natural progression for Michele to step into the role of CEO to drive Matlen Silver’s continued success. Her dedication to the team, in creating an engaging work environment from the inside out, and her unique business acumen, sets her apart in the industry,” Jimmy De Silver, chairman, Matlen Silver, said. “We are excited to see what lies ahead for Matlen Silver through Michele’s vision.”

“Being named as CEO of the organization is a great honor for me and a testament to Matlen Silver’s determination to grow in diversity and elevate equity for women in the workplace. With an executive leadership team that has helped to shape the staffing industry, I look forward to working alongside them to continue to make a positive impact. Our internal team, consultants and valued clients are Matlen Silver’s greatest assets. My intentions are to continue to serve them to further their growth and success.”
