Borgata names Castrillon as vice president of human resources

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced the appointment of Diana Castrillon as vice president of human resources. Castrillon brings extensive experience from MGM Resorts International, where she most recently served as executive director of employee relations operations, overseeing employee relations for more than 62,000 employees across 11 Las Vegas and eight regional properties.

“Diana is a strategic thinker, visionary and a leader in the hospitality and gaming industry,” Niklas Rytterstrom, president and chief operating officer of Borgata, said. “She is committed to supporting and developing our talented workforce with an innovative approach to further cement Borgata’s place as an employer of choice for top talent.”

Before joining Borgata, Castrillon played a pivotal role at MGM Resorts International, where she standardized employee relations processes, developed senior management metrics and created comprehensive training programs. As the previous director of employee relations operations, she centralized employee relations, revamped the ADA process and enhanced training initiatives.

In her new role, Castrillon will spearhead the property’s human resources efforts, leveraging her expertise in talent acquisition, retention, culture building and community engagement. She will focus on improving employee engagement and guest services, leading strategies for talent acquisition and retention, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and driving initiatives that enhance the workplace culture and strengthen community relations.

“Since joining MGM Resorts in 2013, I’ve had an amazing journey working alongside some of the most talented professionals in the industry,” Castrillon said. “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities and growth I’ve experienced there, and I’m thrilled to bring my experience to Borgata, a true leader in the gaming and hospitality industry. The team at Borgata is exceptional, and I am eager to join them in Atlantic City and actively contribute to the community’s growth and development.”
