Tropical Smoothie Café set to join Brunswick Shopping Center in North Brunswick

Levin Management arranges fast-casual lease at Middlesex County

A lease commitment by national fast-casual restaurant brand Tropical Smoothie Cafe will bring a fresh new dining option to Brunswick Shopping Center in North Brunswick. Levin Management Corporation serves as leasing and managing agent for the 288,000-square-foot property, located just off Route 1 on Milltown Road.

LMC’s Jennifer Harrison, senior leasing representative, and Fred Younkin, leasing representative, negotiated the 1,700-square-foot transaction on behalf of property ownership; Sean Pyle and Dina Santarelli of SABRE represented the tenant.

Founded in 1997, Tropical Smoothie Cafe currently has more than 1,400 locations across the United States. Menu offerings include fresh, made-to-order smoothies; acai, chia and yogurt bowls; and wraps, salads, sandwiches and flatbreads.

“With the growing interest in healthy diets among many consumers, Tropical Smoothie Café adds another great option to the food offerings at Brunswick Shopping Center,” Harrison said, adding that the property also includes McDonald’s, Kanoon Restaurant, Rita’s Italian Ice and a bagel shop. “Tropical Smoothie Café is a leader in its segment, and we are pleased to bring this nationally recognized concept to the community.”

Brunswick Shopping Center sits in the heart of North Brunswick’s retail corridor and draws 2.6 million visitors per year, according to real-time traffic data from Placer.ai. Home to Lidl supermarket, the property’s tenant mix includes a fully renovated LA Fitness, Dollar Tree, Sherwin Williams, Magyar Bank, Community Dental, Roma Unisex Salon, Sally Beauty and H&R Block, among others. The center serves a residential population of more than 283,000 residents within a five-mile radius and is proximate to both Rutgers and DeVry universities.

LMC is currently marketing space availabilities from 2,800 to 21,000 square feet at Brunswick Shopping Center.
