Metz Industrial Group at BRC closes industrial deals in New Brunswick & Somerset

The Metz Industrial Group of Bussel Realty Corp. recently announced its closed leasing transactions totaling 41,844 square feet of industrial space in New Brunswick and Somerset.

The Metz Industrial Group is comprised of Jordan Metz, senior vice president, Ben Abbate, senior associate, and James Friel, sales associate.

MIG leased 31,844 square feet at 2 Home News Row in New Brunswick, New Jersey to the McNichols Company, bringing the property to 100 percent occupancy. MIG represented the tenant and the landlord, B&D Holdings, in the transaction.

“Both landlord and tenant worked cooperatively and seamlessly to negotiate a win-win on a long-term renewal at the property,” Metz said “2 Home News Row sits within the Exit 9 industrial market, a highly desirable location for a myriad of companies, with immediate access to all major transportation arteries. The building also sits within an Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) which offers favorable incentives and tax benefits to the businesses which occupy them including a lower sales tax rate, potential real estate tax abatements, and credits against a corporation’s business tax liability.”

MIG leased 10,000 square feet at 16 Heller Park Lane in Somerset, New Jersey to Triumvirate Environmental. MIG represented the landlord, Catalyst Investment Partners, and Sheldon Gross represented the tenant in the transaction.

“Through our landlord relationship with Catalyst and in leveraging the Metz Industrial Group’s in-depth broker relations, we were able to identify a tenant and fully negotiate lease terms within days of hitting the market,” Metz said. “Close cooperation between Catalyst and MIG, Sheldon Gross, and their respective clients allowed for a smooth negotiation from start to finish.”
