TAY Investments breaks ground on 202-unit mixed-use development in Jersey City

TAY Investments broke ground Friday on an ambitious new development in Jersey City’s Westside neighborhood – a six-story, mixed-use development that will feature 202 state-of-the-art residential units, 6,000 square feet of premium retail space and 20,000 square feet of world-class amenities.

Yuval Shram, CEO of TAY Investments, the owner and developer of the project said the space, located at 301 Westside Avenue represents more than just a project in Jersey City’s thriving Westside neighborhood.

It is designed to set a new standard for urban living, he said.

“This project represents a significant step forward for the Westside neighborhood,” he said. “Our goal is to create a vibrant, inclusive space that blends modern residential living with thoughtfully curated retail and recreational amenities to benefit not just our tenants, but also the surrounding streets and the wider community.”

The amenities tell the story, Shram said.

They include a stunning outdoor pool and hot tub, an indoor sanctuary space with a state-of-the-art gym, spa facilities, dry and wet saunas, an ice plunge and more.

Two dedicated rooftops — one for commercial tenants and one for residents — will feature a rooftop bar with views of the city, creating a unique gathering space for all.

Shram said the development is designed with the goal of fostering community and enhancing urban living. This development seamlessly integrates modern design with practical functionality, he said.

In addition to luxury living, the project includes a 10% affordability component, with 20 units designated as affordable housing. Shram said this aligns with TAY Investments’ mission to create buildings that not only meet but exceed the expectations of today’s renters, offering them a place they are proud to call home at a price that makes sense.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by local leaders, including Mayor Steve Fulop and Ward B Councilwoman Mira Prinz-Arey.

At the core of TAY Investments’ vision is a commitment to building communities that thrive, fostering more inclusive and vibrant neighborhoods through every project undertaken, Shram said.

As demand for high-quality housing and mixed-use developments continues to grow in Jersey City, the 301 Westside Avenue project is poised to become a cornerstone of the Westside neighborhood, enhancing the local landscape while meeting the needs of residents and businesses alike, Shram said.

“This is our fifth project in Jersey City, and we’re proud to execute our vision in this great city,” he said. “We are especially grateful to Mayor Fulop and Councilwoman Prinz-Arey for their unwavering support.”
