The Joint Commission has reaccredited The Valley Hospital (TVH) under its Disease-Specific Care (DSC) certification program for care in total hip and total knee replacement.
This recertification recognizes Valley’s commitment to upholding high standards of patient care and safety for those undergoing total hip and total knee replacement procedures.
Reaccreditation confirms TVH’s ability to meet standards in medication management, diabetes care and participation in performance measurement and data collection.
The standards of The Joint Commission are cultivated in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help healthcare organizations measure, assess, and improve performance. Surveyors conduct onsite observations and interviews.
