Newmark named exclusive agent for Hackensack medical office building

Newmark said Aug. 11 that the real estate firm has been appointed as the exclusive leasing agent for 200 Atlantic St., a new Class A medical office building in Hackensack.

Newmark Managing Directors Dan Reider and Harrison Russell and Associates John Crawford and Jack Barclay are leading marketing and leasing efforts on behalf of Englewood-based owner and developer Plaxsun Properties.

“200 Atlantic Street is a rare opportunity: A true Class A, purpose-built medical space in a market where new inventory is nonexistent,” said Reider. “Its scale, infrastructure and immediate proximity to Hackensack University Medical Center make it uniquely positioned for practices seeking efficiency and visibility.”

The 51,750-square-foot property includes three floors of medical office space atop three levels of covered on-site parking. Designed for health-care users, the building features high-capacity HVAC and plumbing systems, multiple lobbies with elevator access, efficient floor plates and the opportunity for building signage. The property can accommodate users seeking up to 17,250 square feet, with divisibility options available.

The site offers access to one of the region’s leading hospitals, located across from the Hackensack University Medical Center campus. Prospective users benefit from access to routes 17 and 80, two NJ Transit stations within walking distance and proximity to Teterboro and Newark Liberty International airports.

The property is surrounded by more than 5,000 new apartment units. Prospective users also benefit from proximity to Hackensack’s revitalized downtown, featuring new restaurants, retail and service amenities.

Plaxsun Properties has been a family owned and operated commercial real estate company with a focus on development, since 1973, having developed over 2 million square feet of corporate and medical real estate in Bergen County.
