Trenton’s Clinton Lofts to have ribbon-cutting ceremony

On Sept. 4, Trenton will celebrate the official ribbon-cutting of Clinton Lofts, a newly constructed 30-unit apartment building located at the gateway to the Chambersburg neighborhood.

Situated near Roebling Market and the Trenton Transit Center, the development brings new energy to a previously vacant site, delivering much-needed housing aligned with the city’s revitalization goals.

The ribbon-cutting will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Clinton Lofts, located at 200 Hamilton Ave. in Trenton (corner of S. Clinton & Hamilton Ave).

“This marks a meaningful step forward in expanding access to quality housing in our city,” said Mayor W. Reed Gusciora. “The Clinton Lofts, an award-winning Smart Growth project, not only addresses a critical housing need but also transforms a long-vacant and prominent corner site into vibrant mixed-use housing and creative space. Just blocks from the Trenton Transit Center, this development will become a place where people live, grow and contribute to a stronger community in the heart of New Jersey’s capital city.”

The project was developed and built by DRM-Trenton Urban Renewal LP and is a featured component of the Roebling-Gateway Redevelopment Plan, a city-sponsored initiative. Clinton Lofts was designed by Clarke Caton Hintz, a locally based architectural firm, with construction financing provided by First Bank.

The ownership group includes Matt Faircloth, founder and CEO of The DeRosa Group; Mark Fedorov of White Dog Properties; and Roland Pott of Trenton Makes, Inc. Clinton Lofts is a 2025 Smart Growth Award winner, with formal recognition to take place at New Jersey Future’s annual awards ceremony this October.

“Clinton Lofts is an excellent example of the kind of smart, community-centered development that reflects the future we want for New Jersey,” said Peter Kasabach, executive director of New Jersey Future. “By transforming a vacant urban lot into walkable, transit-friendly housing with support amenities, this project demonstrates how public and private partners can work together to revitalize neighborhoods, boost economic opportunity and improve quality of life for residents.”
