Serviss rejoins Mandelbaum Barrett PC as partner

Mandelbaum Barrett PC, a full-service law firm headquartered in Roseland, welcomed back family law litigator Daniel Serviss to its firm as a partner.

Serviss’ practice encompasses all aspects of matrimonial and family law, and he has experience representing high-profile and high-net-worth clients involving complex and intricate business-related disputes. He has uniquely navigated sensitive and contentious custody dispute matters such as those involving sexual abuse allegations.

In addition to traditional family law matters, Serviss has vast experience in Jewish divorce law and has appeared in rabbinical courts in New Jersey and New York, representing his clients through the Get process and resolution of their divorce issues.

“Coming back to Mandelbaum Barrett PC truly feels like coming home,” said Serviss, who was an associate at Mandelbaum Barrett PC in 1996 before joining Wilentz and ultimately Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis. “I started my career here as an associate, and the firm’s collaborative spirit and commitment to its people have always stayed with me. I am thrilled to bring my extensive family law experience in high-stakes matters to the firm.”

Serviss continues to contribute to the legal community as an associate editor of New Jersey Family Lawyer. He is also an active member of the family law sections of the Middlesex and Essex County Bar Associations, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He also serves on the Family Law Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Daniel back to our firm after all these years. He began his career here, so this is more than just a new hire — it’s the return of a valued member of our family,” said Mandelbaum Barrett PC CEO William S. Barrett. “His deep experience in family law, coupled with his genuine care for his clients, perfectly reflects the culture of compassion and excellence that defines our firm.”
