The Leslie Simon Breast Cancer and Cytodiagnosis Center at Englewood Health has once again earned reaccreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a quality program of the American College of Surgeons.
The reaccreditation is awarded to centers that demonstrate excellence in multidisciplinary care and dedication to continuous quality improvement. The Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center has maintained NAPBC accreditation since 2009.
“Our center is deeply rooted in the idea that quality breast care must be both precise and personal,” said Dr. Mindy Goldfischer, chief of breast imaging and medical director of The Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center. “This reaccreditation is an opportunity to recognize the work our imaging, clinical, and support teams do every day to provide clarity and confidence to our patients at what is often the most vulnerable time in their lives.”
NAPBC accreditation ensures that patients have access to a full range of services and support — imaging and diagnostics, personalized surgical and medical treatment plans, genetic counseling, psychosocial support, and long-term survivorship care.
“Being reaccredited by the NAPBC reflects the expertise of our team and the strength of our patient-first model,” said Dr. Jennifer Marti, chief of breast surgery and medical director of the Breast Cancer Program at Englewood Health.
As an NAPBC-accredited institution, Englewood Health is also recognized as an American College of Surgeons Surgical Quality Partner.
