Protein snacks business Ready in partnership with the Vitamin Shoppe

Ready, the protein-centric snacks and beverage brand, agreed to partner with Secaucus-based The Vitamin Shoppe through a nationwide launch of its Ready Protein Bars in more than 640 retail locations of The Vitamin Shoppe and Super Supplements in the U.S. and on vitaminshoppe.com. Financial terms were not disclosed.

“Consumers today are looking for exciting, delicious, high-protein snacks that don’t just taste great but are made with ingredients they understand and trust,” said Brian Cavanaugh, chief commercial officer of Ready. “We’re excited to help fuel consumers by partnering with The Vitamin Shoppe to bring this exclusive flavor and our best-sellers to their customers nationwide.”

According to Vitamin Shoppe’s 2025 Health & Wellness Trend Report released in June, sales of protein bars and snacks have climbed by 28%, reflecting a major shift in consumer preferences toward convenient, high-protein options.

Muriel Gonzalez, president of The Vitamin Shoppe, added, “Protein bars and functional snacks are among the fastest growing categories at The Vitamin Shoppe and Super Supplements, as more consumers seek out convenient, on-the-go protein options to fuel their active lifestyles.”

Ready was founded in 2012 in Pittsburgh by former University of Pittsburgh basketball team captain Pat Cavanaugh, who was driven by a vision to create functional nutrition products made with clean, natural ingredients that support both performance and everyday nutrition needs. The brand is co-owned by Pittsburgh native and former NFL defensive tackle Aaron Donald and Milwaukee Bucks basketball star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Vitamin Shoppe is a global, omnichannel specialty retailer and wellness lifestyle company based in Secaucus.
