New Jersey Realtors names Amsel 2025 Realtor of the Year

New Jersey Realtors, the statewide trade association representing more than 54,000 Realtors in the Garden State, has named Gene Amsel, of Demarest, the 2025 Realtor of the Year. In addition to Amsel’s recognition, 11 Local Realtor of the Year award recipients were also honored for their dedication and service to the real estate profession.

“Gene’s commitment to our industry is a powerful example of what it means to be a Realtor,” said Gloria Siciliano, 2026 president of New Jersey Realtors. “We’re proud to name him Realtor of the Year and recognize his leadership and dedication, which reflect the highest ideals of our association.”

Amsel is a longtime manager at Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty and a respected leader within the organized real estate industry.

Licensed in 1985 and a broker since 1988, he has served in numerous leadership roles with Greater Bergen Realtors, New Jersey Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, including service on boards, committees and executive leadership teams at every level.

Amsel is widely recognized for his commitment to member engagement, professional development and advocacy. He has also earned multiple national education credentials and introduced leadership development initiatives that continue to strengthen the Realtor community.

Beyond the industry, Amsel is deeply involved in humanitarian and community service, supporting organizations such as the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Wounded Warrior and others.

Additionally, his long-standing service in youth athletics further reflects his dedication to leadership and giving back.

Amsel’s career and community involvement exemplify the integrity, professionalism and service that define the Realtor of the Year Award.
