Breeze announces 2 new nonstop routes from Atlantic City to the Carolinas

Breeze Airways, an airline that provides direct flights to and from underserved markets, announced Jan. 28 two new nonstop routes from Atlantic City to Charleston, S.C., and Raleigh-Durham, N.C., as well as one-stop, no-change-of-plane BreezeThru service to Tampa, Fla. The new flights will begin in May and June with fares starting from $39 one way.

Breeze joins Allegiant and Spirit in regularly scheduled passenger service from Atlantic City.

“Atlantic City is not only a great destination for travelers, but also a gateway to many other metro areas,” said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. “We know Atlantic City will be a welcome addition to our guests in Charleston, Raleigh and Tampa.”

Beginning today, Atlantic City travelers can book flights on Breeze to:

  • Charleston, S.C. (nonstop on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting May 6, from $49 one way);
  • Raleigh-Durham, N.C. (nonstop on Thursdays and Sundays starting June 11, from $39 one way); and
  • Tampa, Fla. (one-stop, no-change-of-plane BreezeThru service on Thursdays and Sundays starting June 11).

The $39 No Flex Fare promotion is available only when booking a new reservation for ACY-RDU and RDU-ACY. The $49 No Flex Fare promotion is available only when booking a new reservation for ACY-CHS and CHS-ACY. Promotion must be purchased from Jan. 28 through Feb. 3. ACY-CHS and CHS-ACY promotion is valid only for travel from May 6 through Sept. 15. ACY-RDU and RDU-ACY promotion is valid only for travel from June 11 through Sept. 15.

The Breeze announcement underscores the growth of Atlantic City International Airport, which is in the midst of a growth phase, with new airlines and expanded routes. The airport is transitioning from a limited-service airport to a more competitive regional hub expected to increase regional connectivity and tourism and overall economic impact.

“The new routes give travelers from the southern New Jersey/Philadelphia region a more convenient access to two popular and growing destinations, whether they are flying for business, visiting family, or enjoying a weekend getaway,” said South Jersey Transportation Authority Executive Director, Stephen F. Dougherty.

“For an airport of our size, expanding service in a way that directly benefits our passengers is especially meaningful, and this announcement reflects our continued focus on delivering a simple, accessible, and customer-friendly travel experience.”

Breeze Airways operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 84 cities in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. Founded by aviation entrepreneur David Neeleman, Breeze began flying in May 2021.
