Independent commercial real estate firm NAI James E. Hanson said March 3 that it hired Brian Godau as vice president. He will work out of the firm’s Parsippany office.
Godau has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience spanning brokerage, corporate real estate management and development advisory services. In his new role, he will advise owners, occupiers, and institutional clients on complex real estate matters, leveraging his financial expertise and deep market knowledge to deliver strategic, value-driven solutions.
“Brian’s extensive experience and background in corporate real estate make him a strong addition to our growing team,” said William C. Hanson, SIOR, president of NAI James E. Hanson. “His financial acumen, long-standing relationships, and deep understanding of the Northern New Jersey market align perfectly with our commitment to delivering best-in-class service and strategic guidance to our clients.”
Before he joined NAI James E. Hanson, Godau spent 25 years with CBRE, where he most recently served as first vice president. During his tenure, he was involved in a range of assignments, including property disposition strategies, real estate development initiatives, and complex commercial transactions throughout Northern New Jersey and surrounding markets.
Earlier in his career, Godau served as a real estate manager for State Farm Insurance, overseeing corporate real estate matters and gaining institutional insight into portfolio management and site selection strategy. This background provides him with a unique perspective when advising both occupiers and ownership groups.
