Levin Arranges 14,000 sq. ft. lease with Catch Air at Jersey City retail property

Indoor children’s play center will open third garden state location at Twin City Shopping Center

Catch Air is coming to Twin City Shopping Center in Jersey City, according to a recent announcement from Levin Management Corp. (LMC). The new, 14,000-square-foot Hudson County location marks the brand’s third indoor play center in New Jersey, joining existing facilities in Paramus and Hasbrouck Heights.

LMC serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for Twin City Shopping Center, a 95,000-square-foot, grocery-anchored retail property located at the intersection of Garfield Avenue/Broadway and 53rd Street. The firm’s E.J. Moawad, senior leasing representative, negotiated the Catch Air lease transaction.

Catch Air is an indoor children’s playground geared toward youngsters ages 12 and under, offering fun, safe and interactive activities including laser shows, dance parties, climbing structures, open play areas and more. Centers also host birthday parties, field trips, group outings and fundraising events. Catch Air is steadily growing, and currently has play centers in four states.

“Catch Air is a family-centric concept that represents an exciting new element for Twin City Shopping Center,” Moawad stated, who noted the property’s excellent visibility in a dynamic submarket was key in securing the commitment. “This entertainment-oriented destination will be an excellent draw for the property and a wonderful community amenity for families with younger children.”

Twin City Shopping Center’s ideal location on the Jersey City/Bayonne border has contributed to attracting quality tenants like Catch Air, according to Moawad. Notably, the center sits just off Exit 14A of the New Jersey Turnpike and is easily reached by a network of local thoroughfares. Twin City Shopping Center serves a growing residential population of more than 40,000 people within a one-mile radius, and approximately 35,000 vehicles pass the property each day.

Catch Air joins a tenant mix that includes Aqui Market, Retro Fitness, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Dunkin’, T-Mobile and Snap Back by Hook and Reel (coming soon), along with typical neighborhood retail and service providers.
