Bayonne’s Bay 151 on waterfront now 90% leased (SLIDESHOW)

Luxury community draws renters with amenities, open space and compelling value

Hudson County city’s waterfront peninsula has been drawing an impressive number of renters.

Now, 90% of the Bay 151 community has been leased, according to developer KRE roup.

The community offers a combination of spacious apartments, extensive amenities, open space and clear value alongside a comprehensive neighborhood of retail, residences, pocket parks, bike paths and a waterfront walkway. The neighborhood is transforming Bayonne’s former Marine Ocean Terminal into a new destination. The peninsula is surrounded by New York Harbor and offers views of the Manhattan skyline and the rolling hills and greenery of the adjacent Bayonne Country Club.

Bay 151, which is situated on a 16-acre property within walking distance of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s 45th Street station and a planned commuter ferry terminal with service to New York City, also features more than 65,000 square feet of completed indoor and outdoor social and recreational spaces, with more planned for a future phase. The community’s 10,000 square feet of retail space enhances the conveniences and services available throughout the area.

The overall lifestyle offering is attracting residents in increasing numbers from neighboring Gold Coast settings like Jersey City and Hoboken, as well as Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, who want more living and outdoor space, as well as an alternative to their ever-increasing monthly rents.

“More and more people from outside of Bayonne are discovering this unique slice of Hudson County that offers a pleasant, small-town atmosphere with proximity to more urban trappings in neighboring Jersey City and New York City,” Jonathan Kushner, president of KRE Group, stated. “Bay 151’s well-appointed residences and extensive indoor and outdoor amenities embrace and enhance the area’s appealing character, and we’re delighted that so many residents have chosen to make it their home.”

Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, Bay 151 features a collection of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences — including some with unique loft-style floor plans. Monthly rents currently start from $2,100 with immediate occupancy available.
