Ethisphere names World’s Most Ethical Companies 2023, including six from N.J.

Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, earlier this week published its 2023 World’s Most Ethical Companies list.

In total, 135 honorees were recognized, spanning 19 countries and 46 industries.

Six with their headquarters located in New Jersey made the list, with many others with strong Garden State presences also named as honorees.

Zoetis, of Parsippany, is one of three pharmaceutical companies and the only standalone animal health company included on the list.

“We are truly honored to be recognized by Ethisphere on their prestigious World’s Most Ethical Companies list,” Kristin Peck, CEO of Zoetis, said. “Our culture is firmly grounded in our core beliefs, which guide our achievements, actions and behaviors every day. I am especially proud of our colleagues around the world, whose uncompromising commitment to integrity is at the heart of everything we do to nurture the world and humankind by advancing animal care.”

Grounded in Ethisphere’s proprietary Ethics Quotient, the World’s Most Ethical Companies assessment process includes more than 200 questions on culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance activities, governance, diversity and initiatives that support a strong value chain.

Those from the Garden State on the list include:

  • ADM, Cranbury;
  • Anywhere Real Estate Inc. (formerly Realogy), Madison;
  • Booz Allen Hamilton, Eatontown;
  • Prudential Financial, Newark;
  • Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Parsippany;
  • Zoetis, Parsippany.

Others with a heavy presence in New Jersey include: Aflac, Apple, Best Buy, Capgemini, CBRE, Colgate-Palmolive, Eli Lilly and Co., FedEx, International Paper, JLL, Johnson Controls, Kimberly-Clark, L’ORÉAL, Pfizer Inc., plus more.
