JMF’s luxury rental community, the American, now open for leasing in Morris Plains

Collection of 125 luxury residences and 20,000 sq. ft. of amenities opens near train station

The American, the luxury rental community near the Morris Plains train station, is now open for leasing, developer JMF Properties announced Thursday.

Located at 1000 The American Road, the American delivers 125 brand-new luxury rental residences to Morris Plains, along with a new pedestrian walkway that connects the community to the train station and the many shops and restaurants in the borough’s downtown. Renters will enjoy a community with modern interiors, upscale appointments and more than 20,000 square feet of dedicated indoor and outdoor amenity space.

The American opens with nearly 40% of its residences already preleased to renters who joined the community’s wait list.

One- and two-bedroom residences are currently available at monthly rental rates starting from $2,775. New-construction specials are available for a limited time. Immediate occupancy is available.

“The American brings a new type of luxury housing to historic Morris Plains, one that offers renters not only beautiful new apartments, but a complete lifestyle package,” Joe Forgione, the founder and principal of JMF Properties, said. “As we designed this community, our goal was to enhance the resident experience in every way possible, and the result is a product that sets a new standard for rental living in suburban Morris County. We are proud to announce the launch of leasing and look forward to welcoming our first residents in the near future.”

The residences at the American offer up to 1,390 square feet of living space and include features such as 9-foot ceilings, 7-inch composite plank floors, energy efficient LED light fixtures, Energy Star certified appliances and oversized windows with custom shade treatments. In-unit washer/dryer combo, Moen faucets and shower fixtures, marble mosaic showers, porcelain bath floors, a high-performance heating/cooling system and Saflok Saffire entry locks with Bluetooth remote feature option are among the many additional finishing touches included.

The American also offers its residents gourmet kitchens with European-style two-tone kitchen cabinetry, quartz countertops with undermount stainless steel sink and faucet, glass tile backsplashes, Whirlpool stainless steel gas burner cooktops, XOC stainless steel glide-out visor range vented hoods, Samsung stainless steel refrigerators and Blomberg dishwashers in every home.

More than 20,000 square feet of amenities are available to residents of the American. The cutting-edge fitness center features state-of-the-art Matrix equipment and a separate personal training studio with a TRX system, kettlebells, pro boxing punching bag and yoga equipment. A business center with coffee bar, conference rooms and private enclosed workspaces, a second-floor lounge with fireplace and coffee bar, a theater room, a golf simulator and a billiards room round out the amenity offering.

Outside, a courtyard with a variety of seating and dining areas, a firepit, barbecue grills and intricate landscaping details provides residents with opportunities to relax in the fresh air. A controlled access main entry, electronic doorman, onsite covered garage parking, additional exterior parking, onsite management and private storage lockers are among the other conveniences and services available to residents.
