11 companies from N.J. receive 2023 Energy Star honors

Since its inception 30 years ago, Energy Star, which has been America’s resource for saving energy and protecting the environment, together with its partners have helped prevent over 4 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions, while saving consumers and businesses over $500 billion.

Leading the way in delivering these results are award-winning partners that the Environmental Protection Agency honors each year that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements in partnership with Energy Star.

Whether a first-time winner or a winner for many years, these Energy Star award-winning partners from across the country demonstrate that delivering real climate solutions makes good business sense and strengthens our economy.

Among this year’s 221 winners are more than 170 organizations that Energy Star is recognizing for their year-over-year commitment to energy efficiency through the program’s highest honor: Energy Star Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence winner.

Their sustained commitments are essential to meeting the challenge of climate change and enabling a transition to a clean energy economy. EPA congratulates these Sustained Excellence winners, as well as Partner of the Year, Contractor of the Year and Excellence award winners for their contributions towards cleaner and healthier products, homes, buildings, schools and factories.

Kearny-based Ciel Power LLC received the 2023 Home Performance with Energy Star Contractor of the Year Award from the EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy.

This award recognizes the company’s outstanding achievements in energy efficiency and sustainability, as well as its dedication to improving the comfort and health of homes.

“We’re thrilled to receive this award and to be recognized for our work in the energy efficiency industry,” Scott Fischer, managing member of Ciel Power, said. “We’re passionate about helping our customers save money and reduce their carbon footprint, and this award is a testament to our commitment to that mission.”

Ciel Power offers a range of services aimed at improving energy efficiency, including home energy audits, insulation and air sealing, and HVAC system upgrades. The company is committed to providing innovative and effective solutions that reduce energy consumption and improve the quality of life for customers.

“As we accelerate historic efforts to address climate change, public-private partnerships will be essential to realizing the scale of our ambition,” EPA Administrator Michael Regan said. “I applaud this year’s Energy Star award winners for working with EPA to deliver a clean energy future that saves American consumers and businesses money and creates jobs.”
