The KearnyBank Foundation has donated $25,000 to help with renovations of the rec center at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Park campus, it was announced Wednesday.
The funds, provided to the Madison-based university through the KearnyBank Foundation’s education category of corporate giving, will be directed toward renovation of Ferguson Recreation Center.
Kearny Bank Chief Banking Officer Anthony Bilotta said the gift falls in line with the bank’s vision.
“Our company is deeply committed to contributing to the communities where we conduct business, and that includes our local universities,” he said. “In this case, we’re delighted to donate toward improvement of the FDU sports facilities at their Florham campus.”
FDU interim President Michael Avaltroni was thrilled.
“We are extremely grateful for this generous grant,” he said. “And we are very proud and privileged to partner with the KearnyBank Foundation on this project, which will greatly enhance an important space that will serve our student-athletes and the entire community.”
