Zallie Family Markets to host grand opening of state-of-the-art supermarket in Gloucester County

Zallie Family Markets, the family-owned and operated South Jersey-based company, announced plans for the grand opening of its newest store, the ShopRite of Center Square Plaza in Woolwich Township, on June 4.

The 78,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art supermarket, located at the corner of Center Square and Auburn Roads, replaces the ShopRite of Gibbstown, which closed in April. The project is just one of the company’s major investments this year as it celebrates 50 years in the supermarket business.

The store offers expanded services and product selections that include an indoor and outdoor café, hot bar, wok station, international cheese, charcuterie station, fresh cut fruit, floral and catering services.

Additionally, 1,300 square feet of the store is reserved for OPD (Order. Pickup. Deliver.), ShopRite’s online shopping experience.

“We are proud to open our newest and largest ShopRite,” David Zallie, president of Zallie Family Markets, said. “This store continues to showcase our commitment to offer incredible value, quality and service. We thank our customers for their patience as we prepared the new store and look forward to sharing the ShopRite experience with new customers.”

The ShopRite of Center Square Plaza features a full variety of Zallie’s Fresh Kitchen products from the food service and bakery departments, with special emphasis on fresh foods-to-go, custom sandwiches and Zallie’s popular store-made recipes and specialties for easy meal prep and planning. The catering and floral departments will service any size party, celebration or wedding.

The store also features LED lighting and refrigerated cases that are environmentally friendly and energy efficient. As part of the company’s rebranding efforts, Zallie Family Markets’ team member uniforms will reflect a logo that highlights 2023 as the company’s 50th anniversary in business.

To celebrate the grand opening of the ShopRite of Center Square Plaza, customers will enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities including face painting, balloonists, stilt walkers, magicians, music, caricaturists and more. Food samplings and other special giveaways at the store will run from June 4-17.
