Japanese ramen restaurant joins forces with development leader to expand

JINYA Ramen Bar partners with Doherty Enterprises for multi-state growth

JINYA Ramen Bar is gearing itself up for monumental growth as it announces its latest partnership with Allendale-based Doherty Enterprises Inc., which will fuel the development of JINYA stores in the New York area.

Established in 1985, Doherty Enterprises is a renowned restaurant company that owns and operates over 130 locations across multiple states. Its diverse portfolio includes popular brands such as Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar, Panera Bread and Chevys Fresh Mex, in addition to its concepts — the Shannon Rose Irish Pub and Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas.

“We are delighted to join forces with Doherty Enterprises to develop JINYA throughout the northeast,” JINYA founder and CEO Tomo Takahashi said. “With their extensive experience and strong presence in their home market, Doherty Enterprises is the perfect partner to help us expand our footprint in this vibrant region.”

The partnership aims to bring the exceptional JINYA experience to communities across New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania by 2024. It will also align with JINYA’s dedication to delivering quality with Doherty Enterprises’ extensive experience and strong presence in the restaurant industry.

“We are incredibly excited to partner with Tomo and his team to bring JINYA Ramen Bar to the New York DMA,” Doherty Enterprises President & Chief Operating Officer Tim Doherty said. “JINYA offers fantastic food, from their slow-simmered ramen to their incredible and unique small plates. With its cool, modern, yet warm environment and vibe, as well as an impressive support network for its franchisees, JINYA is a natural fit for Doherty Enterprises. We look forward to rapidly expanding the brand throughout our market.”
