Affinity Federal Credit Union celebrates grand opening of Madison branch

Affinity Federal Credit Union will celebrate the grand opening of its new branch in Madison on Tuesday with a community celebration and ribbon-cutting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Located at 18 Elmer St., the branch opened in May and brings Affinity’s mission of enhancing the financial well-being of its members and the local communities to Madison.

“Madison is widely recognized for its vibrant community and thriving business center,” Kevin Brauer, CEO of Affinity, said. “We are thrilled to expand our footprint in Morris County and become a fixture within the Madison community, providing residents with the financial well-being support and resources they need to safeguard their financial futures and meet their money goals.”

Affinity was drawn to the area’s unique culture and community makeup, which includes Drew University and Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham campus, which educate more than 5,000 students combined. The organization is partnering with the North Jersey Chamber of Commerce to host the grand opening event, underscoring its commitment to forging new relationships with the local business community.

“Madison boasts a bustling local economy and a dynamic community that includes families, young professionals and college students,” Shawn Lubitz, vice president, retail and digital branches, at Affinity, said. “Affinity is dedicated to advancing the financial well-being of our members, and this new branch allows us to extend our commitment to Madison and its surrounding areas.”

To celebrate the new branch, Affinity is offering an exclusive in-branch promotion to those who open certificates of deposit between May 1 and June 30, providing a promotional rate of 4.85% Annual Percentage Yield on a 14-month certificate and 4.80% APY on a 22-month certificate.

Members of the Madison community are invited to register for the grand opening event hosted by the North Jersey Chamber.
