Rebecca Moll Freed, a highly regarded attorney in the state, has joined K&L Gates as a partner in the firm’s Government Contracts and Procurement Policy practice.
Moll Freed, who will be based in the firm’s Newark office, joins the firm after an impressive career at Genova Burns LLC.
At K&L Gates, Moll Freed will focus on helping companies successfully navigate a variety of complex regulatory frameworks pertaining to political contributions, pay-to-play rules, government contracting, ethics rules, lobbying requirements, gift rules and energy and utility matters.
Moll Freed advises corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, trade associations, charitable organizations, social welfare organizations and political action committees on the legal aspects of their political activities, as well as counsels companies on government contracting and their participation in the procurement process.
Moll Freed offers substantive counsel on New Jersey’s pay-to-play laws and has extensive experience in procurement law as well as assisting clients in successfully preparing and completing Requests for Proposals and Requests for Quotes for federal, state, bistate and local government entities.
