Global Courier Express inks 2 new leases totaling 160,277 sq. ft. at Kearny Point Industrial Park, moving from Linden

Two large warehouse/distribution space lease transactions have been completed at the Kearny Point Industrial Park totaling 160,277 square feet within two properties (20 Basin Drive and 205 Campus Drive) owned by Hugo Neu, according to a Friday announcement from CBRE.

Global Courier Express, an express courier, trans-shipping, freight service, warehousing and cross-border e-commerce consultation company, inked both leases. GCE committed to 96,375 square feet of space at 205 Campus Drive and 63,902 square feet at 20 Basin Drive, relocating and expanding its operations from Linden.

The CBRE team of Kevin Dudley, Nicholas Klacik, Chad Hillyer and Kate Granahan spearheaded the leasing campaign at the complex and represented ownership in the negotiations. Jimo Liu with Avison Young represented GCE in the lease negotiations.

“The new commitments at Kearny Point Industrial Park follow the recent improvements underway at the complex, while Global Courier Express was particularly attracted to the facility’s proximity to Port Newark-Elizabeth,” Klacik said. “We are thrilled to have GCE expand to occupy our two remaining largest and available properties on the campus.”

Kearny Point is a modern industrial campus located between Jersey City and Newark at the confluence of the Hackensack and Passaic rivers. In addition to the nearby ports, the property offers easy access to Routes 1 and 9, the New Jersey Turnpike, Newark Liberty International Airport, the Holland and Lincoln tunnels and the George Washington Bridge.
