Cooper University Health Care in Camden said it was recently recognized as a Surgical Quality Partner by the American College of Surgeons, highlighting the institution’s commitment to delivering the highest standards of surgical care.
“Our designation as an ACS Surgical Quality Partner underscores our dedication to adhering to the most rigorous standards in surgical quality,” Dr. Francis Spitz, head, division of general surgery, Cooper University Health Care, said. “This achievement reflects our continuous efforts to minimize complications, improve outcomes and ultimately save lives through the provision of exceptional surgical care.”
Cooper actively participates in multiple ACS Quality Programs, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining excellence across various surgical specialties.
Cooper has been recognized by ACS for the following areas:
- The Commission on Cancer Accreditation;
- Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program;
- The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers;
- The National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer;
- National Surgical Quality Improvement Program;
