Somerset Development hires attorney as operations chief

Somerset Development, the Holmdel-based real estate company known for its Bell Works project, among others, has added a director of operations to oversee its initiatives.

Attorney Robert Feinberg, a veteran of the real estate industry, will handle Somerset Development’s many residential and mix-used projects, including Bell Works, the firm said in a news release Monday. Feinberg is tasked with, among other things, streamlining project efficiency and serving as a liaison between external partners and the Somerset executive team led by President Ralph Zucker.

ā€œAs Somerset continues to cultivate and advance current projects, we’re also seeking new opportunities, and look to the future with excitement and confidence, knowing the team we’re building shares our motivation to exceed even the loftiest expectations,ā€ Zucker said in a prepared statement. ā€œWe welcome Robert’s esteemed experience, energy and fresh perspective, and look forward to the positive impact he will bring to all our endeavors.ā€

Feinberg had been a partner with Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, a Middletown-based law firm. He holds degrees in finance and law, and specialized in real estate in his practice, working with developers, tenants, contractors, property managers and others, Somerset said.

ā€œIt’s an exciting time to join the Somerset Development team, and I’m especially thrilled to have the opportunity to join a company that has truly pushed the limits of what was thought possible in the realm of commercial real estate development,ā€ he said in a statement. ā€œFrom the transformation at Bell Works to a host of similarly ambitious redevelopment initiatives, I’m excited to help lead Somerset’s efforts to rethink the ways in which we work, live and interact.ā€
