Moorestown Mall in process of adding unique mix of 13 stores

There’s a restaurant that serves as a homecoming for a Moorestown resident (John Murphy), a do-it-yourself slime bar (for interactive workshops), a dog obedience school (private and group lessons) and the first new liquor store in more than a century (yes, you read that right).

The Moorestown Mall is rapidly expanding, with 13 stores spanning more than 51,000 square feet that have opened this month, opened in the last few months or will open in the near future.

Marketing Coordinator Evan Iepson hopes these stores will continue to push the mall’s vision of local and unique businesses.

“These exciting new additions showcase our ongoing dedication to crafting a diverse shopping experience that celebrates local and specialized businesses, nurturing a dynamic community environment,” Iepson said.

Among the most noteworthy:

  • Super Buy Rite, a liquor store, opened May 3. It is the first liquor store to open in Moorestown in over a century. Voters in Moorestown approved a referendum in 2011 ending the ban on liquor sales that was put in place during Prohibition. It was only in 2021, after a council ordinance authorizing liquor sales gave the town its first distribution license at an auction bid of over $1 million. The store hosts an assortment of wines, spirits and craft beers.
  • Ryfe Restaurant, which opened in March, marks a homecoming for Murphy. The restaurant originates from Atlantic City and offers seafood, steak and burgers, among other dishes.
  • A Balanced Canine is a new dog training facility providing obedience training, behavior modification and puppy training — as well as service dog training.
  • The Slime Bar: A do-it-yourself slime lab that offers interactive workshops and educational experiments.

Among those that opened this month:

  • Palms Coffee Club, a new store for coffee consumers;
  • Runway Recycled, a sustainable women’s boutique offering private shopping and bridal appointments;
  • Salon Styles by Aleta, a full-service salon offering hair braiding and hair extension services.

Among those that opened recently:

  • Deku Reflexology, offering stress and pain relief through fully clothed massages, acupuncture and reflexology services;
  • New Dimensions by Jeri, which is expanding from a cart to an inline space. Jeri Treadwell continues to offer beautiful paintings and custom artwork creations;
  • Nicole Wear recently reopened in a larger space with expanded menswear and newly introduced children’s wear, along with popular women’s wear, jewelry and custom pieces. Pet accessories are coming soon.

Coming soon:

  • Mandarin and Fig Wellness, focused on nurturing both inner and outer well-being, primarily through therapeutic massage and tailor-made hair loss solutions, creating customized wigs and hairpieces;
  • Dessert Soiree, a dessert shop focusing on cakes and cupcakes;
  • Breaker 213, a wreck-it room, where fun and destruction collide.
