SheTek, a Plainsboro-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering and growing the number of women in technology, has formalized a partnership with Rutgers University – Camden’s School of Business that will support students — particularly young women — in developing technological and employability skills.
The first program under the partnership, dubbed the AI Essentials Bootcamp, will focus on artificial intelligence, SheTek said in a news release. Program applications are closing Friday, and the course will begin in mid-August. To learn more, click here.
“SheTek’s partnership with Rutgers University in educating young women in AI and its use cases, combined with soft skills, marks just the beginning of our journey together,” Chaya Pamula, founder of SheTek and co-founder and CEO of PamTen Inc., said in a prepared statement.
The organizations also will investigate data curation and other trending technologies for future joint programs, according to the release.
“Partnering with SheTek is a natural fit,” Monica Adya, dean of the Rutgers – Camden School of Business, said in a statement. “There is so much overlap in each of our organizations’ missions — preparing the workforce of tomorrow, a strong commitment to inclusive and accessible education and a holistic approach that addresses the development of both technical and business/soft skills.”
