In the latest U.S. News & World Report online-education rankings, Berkeley College was the top-rated bachelor’s degree program in New Jersey, while Stevens Institute of Technology was the highest-ranked MBA program in the state.
Of the 357 schools whose online bachelor’s degree programs were ranked, Berkeley — which has five campuses in New Jersey and three more in New York — came in at No. 125 overall.
“The U.S. News & World Report rankings speak to the quality of a Berkeley College online degree, and to our two decades of expertise in distance education,” Michael J. Smith, Berkeley’s president, said in a prepared statement. “U.S. News & World Report is a primary resource for prospective students researching their options for college and degree programs. Students seeking the best online degree programs can enroll with confidence in Berkeley College.”
Rutgers University-Camden had the second-highest New Jersey ranking, listed at No. 138 overall, while Rowan University was third-rated in the Garden State, at No. 237 overall.
Caldwell University and Thomas Edison State University were also listed in the rankings, in the group of colleges considered Nos. 264-346.
U.S. News & World Report also ranked 282 online MBA programs. Among New Jersey’s schools, Stevens took the top slot, tied for No. 47 overall. Rutgers-Camden was again the second-best college in the state, in a tie for No. 61 overall, while New Jersey Institute of Technology finished third in the state, in a tie for No. 93 overall. Rowan ranked in a tie for the No. 164 spot.
Two other New Jersey schools made the list, with Montclair State in a group at Nos. 205-267 and Rider University considered “unranked.”
