Atlantic Health System adds Manalapan facility

Atlantic Health System and CentraState Healthcare System recently opened the Atlantic Health System Manalapan Pavilion in the Manalapan Commons shopping center on Route 9 in Manalapan, extending the addition of pavilions in the central Jersey region.

More and more health systems are expanding their operations outside of traditional care settings by repurposing retail spaces in malls, looking to provide patients with more convenient and accessible care.

The 18,000-square-foot pavilion provides primary and multispecialty care connected to the medical center. Besides walk-in lab services, this site will feature personalized care from physicians and specialists in primary care, including sick visits and preventive care; OB/GYN care; specialty medical care, including pulmonology, endocrinology and neurosurgery; movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, ataxia and gait disturbances; and adult rehab – physical, occupational and speech therapy.

“The Manalapan Pavilion underscores Atlantic Health System and CentraState’s shared mission to provide greater access to high-quality primary and specialty care in the communities we are dedicated to serving,” said Steven Sheris, executive vice president, chief physician executive, Atlantic Health System, president, Atlantic Medical Group.

“This new facility is the latest example of how CentraState, as part of Atlantic Health System, is strengthening our integrated clinical services and physician network and bringing much-needed services under one roof out in the community,” said Thomas W. Scott, president and CEO of CentraState.

The Manalapan Pavilion is the newest addition to Atlantic Health System and CentraState’s growing network of health pavilions designed to bring premier ambulatory care and healthcare services to neighborhoods across Central Jersey. Other pavilion locations in the region include Marlboro, East Windsor, Jackson and Monroe.

The Atlantic Health System serves more than half of the state of New Jersey including 14 counties and 7.5 million people.
