Dry Goods, a trendy young women’s fashion retailer based in Iowa, is opening four stores in 2025, two of them in New Jersey.
The company opened a store in the Cherry Hill Mall in April and will open a location at Freehold Raceway Mall this year. The other two stores will be in Virginia and Pennsylvania.
With the addition of the stores, Dry Goods, a subsidiary of family-owned department store Von Maur founded in 1872, will operate 88 locations in 24 states, mostly in the Midwest and the South.
Known for its fashion-forward styles and boutique shopping experience, the expansion reflects Dry Goods’ continued growth and commitment to bringing its selection of apparel and accessories to shoppers nationwide.
“With each new store opening, we are listening to our customers and delivering what they want: trendy, accessible fashion in an environment that allows them to express their individual style,” said Melody Wright, president of Dry Goods. “New markets present an exciting opportunity to expand the Dry Goods experience across the country.”
The addition of Dry Goods to the Cherry Hill Mall is part of that shopping center’s initiative to bring in a new group of retailers. In April, the mall announced that Dick’s House of Sport, a new retail experience from Dick’s Sporting Goods, plans to open in 2026. Other new retail offerings included Coach and Dr. Martens.
Besides Dry Goods, Freehold Raceway Mall is also getting a Dick’s House of Sport as well as eyewear brand Warby Parker and J. Crew Factory this year.
